AFTER GLOW
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of Happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

AUTUMN RAIN
Do not stand by my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints upon the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain and I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am that swift uplifting rush, of butterflies in joyous flight. I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand by my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

A BRIEF MOMENT
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world.

But then it flies again and though we wish it could have stayed... We feel lucky to have seen it.

COME TO ME
God saw (name) getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come To Me.” With tearful eyes we watched him/her suffer, and saw him/her slowly fade away. Although we loved him/her dearly, we could not make him/her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

GOD’S GARDEN
God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered, “Peace be Thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home.

TWENTY THIRD PSALM
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
